Preparing for the Paduka Puja

• After receiving confirmation about the date and time, Invite family and friends for the puja.
• Coordinate ride for Swamiji and Pujya Gurudev’s padukas to your residence
• Coordinate with various attendees to sing bhajans
• Procure materials for the Purna Kumbha and the Paduka Puja.

Day of the Puja

1. Set up an altar at home with Pujya Gurudev’s picture and your Ishta devata (if any). Simple decoration is recommended.
2. Welcome the Padukas with Purna Kumbha inside at the entrance of your home with the feeling as though Pujya Gurudev is arriving at your door.

3. Respectfully lead Swamiji and Pujya Gurudev’s Padukas to the altar.
4. Paduka Puja will be performed by Swamiji. [ Click here for Shri Chinmaya Ashtottara Shata Namavali]
5. After the puja Swamiji will give a short message followed by Nirvana Shatkam-meditation.
6. Mahamrityunjaya Mantra Japa will be chanted for the wellbeing of the family members and others (please have the names of the family members on a paper for Swamiji),
7. Conclude with pledge, arati and offering of Guru Dakshina, followed by prasad for all.
